Students can participate in Gimkit without signing up. While student accounts can be used to help improve the safety of games, they’re always optional.

FERPA, COPPA, Ed-Law 2D Compliant

We comply with major US and State-wide privacy laws. Email us if you’re not sure if we comply with your local privacy laws – chances are, we do!

Sometimes, it’s good to be alone

100% of Gimkit’s revenue comes from subscriptions. Because of that, the data we collect is just for making Gimkit the best it can be. None of your information is ever sold to third parties & you’ll never find a single advertisement on Gimkit.

  • Educator: Teacher or educational institution

  • Student: Anyone under 18 with a Gimkit account

  • Services: All Gimkit services including games, content storage, and results

  • Site: www.gimkit.blog and all affiliated subdomains

  • Account: Logged-in Gimkit user

  • PII / Personal Information: Information that identifies an individual

Gimkit complies with major privacy regulations, including:

We collect:

Student Accounts

Collected only when an account is created:

  • Last initial

  • Email address

Students under legal age require parental or educator consent.

Creating Student Accounts

Direct Sign-Up

Allowed for students:

  • 13+ (US)

  • 16+ (outside US)

Classes

Educators can invite students of any age using Class invitation links and provide parental consent.


Use of Your Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and improve Services

  • Manage Accounts

  • Process payments

  • Communicate updates and alerts

  • Provide customer support

  • Enforce Terms of Service

  • Ensure platform security

  • Authenticate users

  • Enable Google & Microsoft SSO


How We Handle Personal Information

We share Personal Information only when necessary, including:

  • With authorized employees

  • For fraud prevention or security
